About Me
I have embroidered since I was a child - my mother enrolled my sister and I on a stitching class on a Saturday morning and we have both retained our love of textiles.
My career path however did not include textiles. I qualified as a solicitor and practised for over 10 years. At the time of starting my family I also had a change of path - first buying a needlecraft shop and then an online christening wear website. I am now the Data and Student Services Manager for a local secondary school.
Throughout all this embroidery has played a major part in my life. My formal qualifications are City and Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Hand Embroidery which I completed through an evening class whilst working full time. I have attended numerous classes and summer schools, some organised by the Embroiderers Guild, of which I am a Life Member.
I am now exploring painting - working with acrylic paint to explore personal themes.
